ChemBreak

Non-explosive expansive mortar and demolition agent. Safely crack and break rock and concrete without using explosives! Safe and easy to use.

Rock & Boulder Breaking:

1. Breaking large blocks of granite, note the drill pattern, holes 6” to 10” apart, 80% to 90% depth of the rock.

2. Large granite boulder broken up, note drill pattern, holes 10” to 12” apart.

3. Splitting and breaking partially exposed bedrock. Drill and split the row closest to the open face, then work back against the face.

ChemBreak:
An expansive mortar.   When mixed with water it expands for up to 4 days, creating pressures of up to 7000 tons per square meter.   Rock and concrete crack and break at pressures between     1500 – 3000 tons per square meter.   See graphs below for the relationship between time in hours, % water in the mix, air temperature and hole diameter.

Pressure/Time Water 26% to 30% Pressure/ 24, 48 & 72 H Pressure/Drill Diam.
