i.   Reading the handbook.
ii.  Firing the Boulder Buster under supervision.
iii. Writing the open book test, having it marked and receiving certification.

Raise your Booster Cartridges

To get the most effect out of your booster cartridges, raise them 6" to 12" from the bottom of the hole.   When inserting the cartridges into the hole, once the bottom cartridge strikes the bottom of the hole lift it up by 6" to 12", depending on the depth of the hole.

Using Magnum Booster Cartridges

When using booster cartridges down the hole in the rock, attach the cartridges to a length of wire using electrical tape.   When using more than 1 cartridge, the cartridges should be spaced 9" to 12" apart.   Spacing the cartridges ensures initiation by the pressure wave in the water.
